Just a few blocks down from the white house, DC’s greenest restaurant has opened. Founding Farmers is owned by a collective of American farmers and exists to promote the products and services of family farms, ranches, and fisheries. The menu prides itself on serving only the truest food and drink, from spins on classics like Lobster filled Deviled Eggs or Rustic Chicken Pot Pie to one of the many signature drinks, like the Obama Sangaree.
Founding Farmers has been built to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, a first for a restaurant in the District of Columbia. When you enter It is like walking into a cool farmhouse, with reclaimed wood, hand painted signage, and silo shaped booths.
The green design aspect also carries over into the production of the graphics. That is where Seth Design Group got involved. We had the opportunity to develop the brand and promotional elements for this unique restaurant. Starting with the logo, stationery, menu and ending with the Web site design. It was a eventful 6 months!
Shout outs to: VSAG, CORE, bighouse graphix, Suzanne Hogan, ABC Imaging and GAM Printers for making this adventure a success.
